Why Your Support Is So Important
Our work would not be possible without financial support. Your donation will
help support our year-round programming, which touches the lives of nearly 450,000 disadvantaged New Yorkers every year. The following are just a few of the
things New York Cares will be able to achieve with your support in the
coming year:
- Enable more than 43,000 New Yorkers to bring their time and talents
to help our community by creating and managing up to 1,000 meaningful
volunteer projects every month.
- Help meet some of the most pressing needs in our city through our
support of over 990 diverse nonprofit organizations throughout the
five boroughs.
- Provide over $1.5 million in service to our parks and schools through our New York Cares Day and Hands on New York Day events.
- Provide over 80,000 warm winter coats and 31,000 holiday gifts to
those who would otherwise go without.
- Foster corporate social responsibility by helping hundreds of
New York City's leading companies play a significant role in meeting
the needs of our city.
