On Thursday, April 26, American Express partnered with New York Cares to present the American Express Women's Interest Network's 2nd Annual Career Exploration Day, for women faced with the challenges of entering or re-entering the workforce. Participants included over 60 women from New York Cares' partner agencies including: Icahn House East and West, Henry Street Settlement, Regents Family Residence, Employment Service Center of VNSNY, Met Council, St. James Shelter, and Clinton Family Inn. Participants learned valuable skills through comprehensive, interactive workshops on résumé writing, interviewing and networking skills, a panel discussion on work-life balance, and by spending one-on-one time with American Express employees. American Express has been a generous sponsor of New York Cares for over a decade, and we were thrilled to assist the Women's Interest Network in hosting such an inspirational and enlightening event.
