On June 8, 3,000 New York City-based Deloitte employees (of nearly 40,000 worldwide), took to the streets of New York to give back during the 8th Annual Deloitte IMPACT Day. New York Cares created opportunities for 225 Deloitte volunteers to help out 13 local nonprofits. Deloitte volunteers helped raise awareness and adoption rates by socializing with animals in a Manhattan animal rescue shelter; spent the day playing bingo with lonely seniors at a health center in Brooklyn; and helped disadvantaged adults get back on their feet by holding a job interview and resume writing workshop. Kudos to our friends at Deloitte for making such a positive IMPACT in our city.
