500 L'Oreal employees help make New York City an even more beautiful place.
L'Oreal demonstrated, once again in July, that they are a true leader in employee volunteerism. Nearly 500 employees from L'Oreal USA spent over 2,200 hours helping make New York City an even more beautiful place, by volunteering at 18 different nonprofit agencies throughout the five boroughs. Volunteers painted murals at public schools in the Bronx and Manhattan, planted flowerbeds in the Lower East Side, cleaned up the pathways and trails in Highbridge Park, and, in a generous act of synergy, donated thousands of dollars of L'Oreal products to make Beauty and Baby kits for mothers and children living in domestic violence shelters. One L'Oreal employee told us, "I volunteer on a regular basis, and it makes me feel very good. Knowing that I can also volunteer at work, and create this kind of beauty, this kind of feeling, this kind of energy, throughout all aspects of my life, that makes me proud."
L'Oreal, a relatively new partner of New York Cares, has redoubled their commitment to volunteerism over the past two years, becoming a generous New York Cares supporter and an active participant in a wide range of volunteer activities. The employees of L'Oreal are truly inspiring, with many also now volunteering with New York Cares on their own time. Please join us in congratulating L'Oreal and their employees for another great year of service, and here's looking forward to bigger, better and more beautiful things to come.
