Laura: Urban Adventurer
Laura has been leading a team of volunteers and children from the Fordham Bedford Children's Services on adventures around New York City one Saturday a month since 1997. As a Team Leader, she has become an essential part of her projects, developing relationships with staff and the children, and maintaining a faithful group of regular volunteers. Laura loves working with children, but also enjoys seeing volunteers "empowered to stand up and make a difference." In 2004, Laura was honored for her amazing service with the Presidential Service Award. We are in good company when we thank Laura for all she has done for New York City.
