The 14th Annual Hands On New York Day was an amazing day. Early morning clouds gave way to bright sunshine as more than 6,500 caring New Yorkers helped revitalize 110 New York City parks and gardens, playgrounds, community centers, schools and homeless shelters. Volunteers also planted 20,000 trees throughout the five boroughs in support of MillionTreesNYC. Thanks to everyone who participated, this was the largest ever Hands On New York Day, with more volunteers working at more sites around the city than any previous year, and more volunteers raising funds on behalf of our critical work than ever before!
There's Still Time to Keep Fundraising
Thank you for your fundraising efforts thus far. Already, we have raised upwards of $90,000 in support of our year-round programming, which improves the lives of nearly 400,000 New Yorkers in need every year. Remember, you can still collect donations in honor of your service on Hands On New York Day. All donations received by Friday, May 2, will count towards your fundraising totals and your chance to win great prizes including round trip airline tickets courtesy of jetBlue Airways.
