Staten Island Volunteers Needed!

As New York City's leading volunteer organization, New York Cares offers as many as 1,000 flexibly scheduled volunteer projects citywide every month. We are expanding our volunteer opportunities in Staten Island and are looking for new volunteers and team leaders to help make it happen. We need you!

Before you can volunteer with New York Cares you must first attend a one-hour orientation. These sessions are designed to offer a quick and easy introduction to the many ways to volunteer with New York Cares and to teach you how to use our Web site and Program Guide to choose a project that's right for you.

Orientations will be held at the following locations:

St. George Library
Wednesday, August 20 (6:30 - 7:30 p.m.)
Saturday, September 13 (Noon - 1:00 p.m.)

New Dorp Library
Saturday, August 16 (Noon - 1:00 p.m.)
Tuesday, August 26 (6:30 - 7:30 p.m.)

Port Richmond Library
Saturday, August 2 (Noon - 1:00 p.m.)
Tuesday, September 9 (6:30 - 7:30 p.m.)

To sign up for an orientation, please contact James Williams, Manager of Volunteer Relations, at James_Williams@nycares.org or 212-402-1156. Once oriented, you will be able to participate in any of the upcoming Staten Island projects listed below!

If you are interested in becoming a New York Cares Team Leader in Staten Island, please contact Jaime Denniston-Merced, Leadership Development Manager, at Jaime_Denniston-Merced@nycares.org or 212-402-1102. Weekend or weeknight opportunities are available.
