Over the past year, caring New Yorkers have turned to New York Cares in unprecedented numbers, eager to make a difference. This has presented us with an opportunity too good to pass up; an opportunity to add hundreds of new projects to our monthly Calendar and make an even bigger difference in the lives of New Yorkers in need.
During the coming year, we will plan and manage an additional 3,000 volunteer projects, bringing the total number of New York Cares volunteer projects to a staggering 10,000. However, in order to make this expansion possible, we need to recruit and train hundreds of new Team Leaders this summer. And we need your help.
Are you ready to take the lead?
Team Leaders are New York Cares volunteers who help make our Calendar Projects program possible by regularly managing projects on our behalf. Team Leaders receive comprehensive training and serve as our eyes and ears at each project, acting as liaisons between New York Cares Program Managers and volunteers, and the organization where the project occurs. New York Cares' Calendar Projects program would not exist without this dedicated corps of volunteers.
Often an extra hour or two per project is all it takes, and there are all kinds of projects, in locations throughout the city to choose from. Your commitment makes it possible for other caring New Yorkers to bring their time and talents to help those who need it most. Please consider becoming a New York Cares Team Leader and make an even bigger difference in the lives of New Yorkers in need.
