At the annual New York Cares Leadership Conference, our most highly engaged leadership volunteers come together to explore new ways of enhancing the impact of projects they lead to better meet community needs. The conference is a great opportunity to network with other leadership volunteers, speak directly with New York Cares staff and partner agencies - all the people who make it possible for New York Cares to help 400,000 people in need.

Workshop topics include

  • Job Search Tips from a Human Resources Professional
  • Fighting Poverty in New York City
  • Creative Leadership: How to Keep Volunteers Coming Back
  • Cross-Cultural Communication and Cultural Sensitivity
  • Q & A Panel with Experienced Team Leaders
  • Send is Forever! Strategies for Effective E-mail Communication with Volunteers
  • Mastering Social Networking as a Volunteer
  • Using Google+ to Share Your Knowledge and Stay in the Loop
  • Developing Internal Corporate Leadership
  • Using Corporate Service as a Team Building Tool
  • Meet the Executive Director - Roundtable Discussion
  • New York Cares - 25 Years of Service: A Retrospective
  • Learn About Becoming a New York Cares Team Leader

The registration deadline is January 31, 2012, and you must be able to stay for the entire conference. Once you register, we'll send instructions on signing up for breakout sessions. Email us at leadership.conference@newyorkcares.org with questions.
