Hands On New York Day: Saturday, April 24, 2010.

New York City parks and gardens are an essential part of urban life. They provide countless opportunities for recreation and relaxation and foster a sense of community. Each April, our volunteers make these spaces cleaner, greener, and ready for summer by gardening, weeding, painting, and more.

Hands On New York Day provides a great service to the community and is an important fundraiser for New York Cares. By asking your friends and family to donate in honor of your service, you can help us reach more people by supporting our year-round programs.
