Did you know there's a new guide to our volunteer programs? The first edition of the New York Cares Program Guide is available now for downloading.
The Guide replaces our monthly Project Calendar, which had become challenging to navigate as we've grown to 900+ projects a month. The Program Guide makes it easy to learn about our wide range of programs, and is a perfect tool to help you search projects online. Below are just some of the new features and options included in the guide:
Browse projects - if you prefer to look at all of the options before deciding on a project, the Program Guide provides the perfect way to do just that. Read about all our different project areas and highlight ones that interest you the most.
Check location and availability - for each program area, the guide lists the neighborhoods and times of day at which it takes place, so you can find a project that's most convenient for you.
Use online search criteria - our handy new "Online Search Criteria" listed under every program area tells you what to enter on our Web site to easily find and sign up for projects you are interested in.
Call our Project Sign-up Hotline - if you don't have access to the Internet, but want to make sure that you don't miss out on a project you are interested in, call our Project Sign-up Hotline at 212-402-1156 and we'll sign you up right over the phone.
